FACULTY OF EDUCATION AND SOCIAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY SELANGOR EPE 6183 EVALUATION : MODELS AND TECHNIQUES SEMESTER : JANUARY - APRIL 2013 TEST ONE : 30% OF THE COURSE GRADE INSTRUCTOR : ASSOC. PROF. DR. SULAIMAN SHAMSURI

There are five (5) questions listed below. You are asked to answer any three from the list. Each question carries equal marks of 33%. The total marks will then be converted to 30% of the course grade. This is a take-home type of test. You have all the time to attempt the questions. Therefore, you are expected to produce a truly systematic, comprehensive and educative type of answer. Type your answer neatly and beautifully complete with appropriate references and bibliographical style based on the American Psychological Association (APA). You are given three weeks to complete this task. The completed work must the submitted not later than February 18, 2013. 1. Evaluation is a subject very recently known to people. How for do you agree with this statement? Penilaian adalah satu mata pelajaran yang baharu sahaja diketahui oleh orang ramai. Sejauh mana anda bersetuju dengan kenyataan ini? 2. Evaluation experts agreed that the evaluation process is conducted under different philosophies. Discuss. Pakar-pakar penilaian bersetuju bahawa proses penilaian ini dilakukan melalui falsafah yang berbeza. Bincangkan.

3. Good professionals believe evaluation is integral to all aspects of work, at all levels and with all groups involved. Explain this statement clearly with examples where necessary. Ahli-ahli professional percaya penilaian itu amat mustahak pada semua aspek pekerjaan, pada semua peringkat tugasan dan kepada semua orang yang terlibat dalam tugasan tersebut. Terangkan kenyataan ini dengan jelas dan disertai dengan contoh-contoh di mana perlu.

4. Explain very clearly the types of evaluation, the nature of evaluation and the ownership of the report of the evaluation. Nyatkan dengan jelas jenis-jenis penilaian, latar belakang (nature) penilaian dan hak ke atas laporan penilaian ini.

5. Evaluation on any aspect of life such as programme, product, procedure and objectives could be conducted through several approaches. Explain briefly three (3) of the approaches that you know. Penilaian ke atas apa jua aspek kehidupan seperti program, produk, prosedur dan objektif boleh dilakukan menerusi beberapa pendekatan. Terangkan dengan ringkas sahaja tiga (3) pendekatan penilaian yang anda tahu.
