Well, fast forward to the present day and OnePlus appears to be employing the same tactic. In October, the Chinese tech firm set a Guinness World Record for ‘the most people unboxing a phone simultaneously’ during the launch of its 6T handset. And it has now followed that up with a very special edition of said phone – a collaboration with F1 giant McLaren. Naturally, the emphasis here is on speed: OnePlus is calling the 6T McLaren its “fastest phone ever”, and a combination of Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and 10GB of RAM certainly sounds like a multitasker’s dream.
