    Paul Sullivan: Should Cubs make late pitch for free-agent closer Craig Kimbrel?

    MESA, Ariz. - The Cubs haven't been linked this offseason to free-agent closer Craig Kimbrel, who remains on the market only three weeks before Opening Day for most teams.

    Kimbrel, 30, reportedly was asking to be the highest-paid reliever in history, and as everyone knows by now, Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts said he has no more money to spend.
