Upfront, I’ll say this: standing in front of this iconic London landmark felt just a little spooky, just a bit creepy. On this bright but biting winter’s day there was a good turnout of bikes, though fully half the riders present were dressed up as Santa; it was the day of north London’s pre-Christmas Toy Run, so it was tinsel to the fore and silly hats in the majority.
