TOP BOXES

I am writing in response to the article by Richard Millington in the July edition.

I ride a Honda Crosstourer and am a confirmed fan of the top box. My panniers are only used for touring holidays and so most of the time I only use the top box. Weight is not an issue, as I’m not planning to carry swag from a heist and my typical top box contents are a rucksack containing the things I need to carry around a BSB, or other race meeting. Carrying a pillion has far more effect than a top box. There will also be walking shoes, shorts, and a large hat to keep either the sun or rain
