Jon Molvig Maverick

ne hundred and twenty-two works displayed chronologically in purpose designed spaces make up the retrospective, assembled by Michael Hawker, curator Australian Art at Queensland Art Gallery. Molvig’s practice is introduced through a number of smaller oils dating from 1948, produced while the artist attended the Strathfield annex of the East Sydney Tech College after the Second World War. Presented after these Sydney pictures are works executed in the early 1950s, when Molvig travelled
