Can I freeze ginger? It turns mouldy so quickly in the fridge.
If you aren’t going to use it within a few days, ginger freezes really well. Peel and finely chop it, then place in a snap-lock bag. Pat out to flatten. Seal bag and place in the freezer. You can then snap off a piece of frozen ginger as you need it. Put it straight into your cooking or allow it to defrost before using.
