For most of the caravan’s history, it has almost always contained wood. Not that wood is a bad thing, but technology has given engineers and designers modern materials with plenty of benefits that suit the caravan industry. Problems that caravans of yore had with wood rot are now a non-issue, and structurally caravans are now stronger than ever. They’re also more resistant to wet weather, more resilient to dents and damage – all while keeping overall mass to an absolute minimum.
