Your eggs were made while you were in the womb, but your partner’s sperm is produced continuously from puberty.
3 WEEKS
Congratulations – you’ve made a… blastocyst; a ball of cells that will form an embryo. Your baby is smaller than the full stop at the end of this sentence.
4 WEEKS
You baby becomes an embryo, with half the blastocyst breaking off to form the placenta and the other half making your baby, including a primitive heart.
