You have had a phenomenal journey as a blogger – tell us what exactly you learned interning at IM, the Social Media Agency, liaising for international bloggers like Chiara Ferragni and Aimee Song? What really fascinated you about the dynamics of blogging fame?
“I had just finished my law degree when I started my internship at IM Social Media Agency. It was one of the first influencer agencies in Europe at the time. What really fascinated me about the platform, was the amount of people that social media and influencers are able to reach. It has launched the careers of many young, creative people. It also opened up a lot of potential opportunities for me to start my own blogging career.”
“The whole world of blogging opened up to me back when I was in law school and it was mind-blowing to me how media in general was changing. The shift from consuming media digitally on our phones and no longer through television or magazines, was simply mind-blowing to me. As a result, the advertisement industry also completely changed and brands started understanding the value of bloggers and influencers – Chiara Ferragni being the pioneer in that field, and I admire her career a lot. So,
I saw the gap in the market of Indian influencers... I thought it was worth a shot and now here we are...”
At that stage, say around 2015, we did have a Miss Malini topping the influencer charts in India... as a lifestyle/celebrity blogger... did you see her as a role model?
