A new vision

Olga Delwa fell in love with the location of the property first: ‘The flat itself had little character and was in need of an overhaul,’ she says, ‘but it’s in a great spot in Berlin, so I put up with it for a few years.’ There was woodchip wallpaper everywhere, heavily varnished wooden floors, plastic window handles and a bog-standard bathroom.
