Girasole

THE SHAPING of this flared tunic is beautifully emphasised by a textured pattern. “The simple elongated stitches are worked in a repeat of shell stitch and garter stitch to give an interesting openwork texture,” explains Jennie Atkinson. The pattern has been designed to have a slight negative ease on the bust, to give a good fit; the yarn used offers a reasonable amount of stretchiness. This is Exquisite 4ply by West Yorkshire Spinners, a wool-silk blend which comes in eight rich and saturated shades.
