MEASUREMENTS

24cm/9½in tall from tip of antler to foot.

MATERIALS

1 x 100g (196m) ball of Stylecraft Special DK (100% acrylic) in each of Grey (Silver 1203), Cream (1005)*. Oddments of double knitting yarn in Green and Red. Size 4.00 crochet hook; toy filling; pair of 6mm toy safety eyes;stitch marker. Yarn is available from theknittingnetwork.co.uk.

TENSION

Tension is not critical for this project. Use a smaller hook than recommended for your yarn so that toy filling is not visible through the stitches.

ABBREVIATIONS

St(s) , stitch(es); ch , chain; dc , double crochet; dc2tog , [insert hook in next st, yrh and pull through] twice, yrh and pull through all 3 loops on hook; htr , half treble crochet; slst , slip stitch; yrh , yarn round hook.

NOTE

All parts, except for the antlers and scarf, are worked in a spiral without joining each round. Use a stitch marker to mark the 1st stitch of the round and move it up as you work. Yarn quantities are based on average requirements and are therefore approximate. Instructions in square brackets are worked as stated after 2nd bracket.

EYES

With 4.00 hook and Grey, make 2ch.
