- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A decent book that shares a number of stories and ideas that are focused on having a best friend(s) in your life.
The author is clearly a Christian based therapist and uses many quotes from the Bible as well as examples of stories where he mentions the church.
While I don’t deeply connect with that it’s not a deal breaker for me to hear it. But I’m surprised it wasn’t mentioned in the description of the book as that might attract some and of course push some away but mostly feel it should be known upfront.
This book wasn’t groundbreaking for me but it did keep your mind focused on ideas and stories to have a best friend and that’s a good thing. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Packed with practical relationship advice! I enjoyed listening to this.

I really liked the aspect of the book referring to the how we need a variety of friends. It was a tremendous help with understanding the varied aspects of friendship. The book draws on the author's own experiences. It was very detailed with the varied aspects of friendship and how to grow a friendship even deeper through shared experiences and suffering. It also help with explaining how friendships may suffer from experiences that can stall a growing friendship. I would like to thank Net Galley and Worthy Publishing for allowing me to read and review this book in return for a free copy and I was never asked to write a favorable review by anyone.
