About this audiobook

Along a beautiful stretch of beach sits a state institution for the criminally insane. Among its inmates are a man who killed his wife with a wine bottle; an ex-butcher who put strange substances into meat; and a man who pushed his daughter out of a forty-story window. When an inmate is found dead on the beach, the rest of the men eye each other coldly - for each of them had a motive to murder the unpopular victim.

Well read by Stacy Keach, but I think I missed something. It was kind of boring & the end wasn't any real surprise. The situation seemed ridiculous, too. I was surprised & am giving it 2 stars simply because I might be at fault since I was busy mowing. This is the third such short story I've listened to by this pair. Maybe I'll listen to it again sometime & see if I don't like it better, but I doubt it. Oh well, it won't put me off this excellent team.
