- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Excellent treatise on effective witnessing.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Hybels shares his method of evangelism--which isn't really a method but an exhortation to build personal relationships with people. Just walk across the room--as the title says--and don't be afraid to talk to people. Find connections and use them--shared hobbies, interests, backgrounds. Don't isolate yourself in a Christian bubble, seek to have acquaintances that are non-Christians. Talk to your hairdresser, waitress, and other service people. Pray every day that God will open doors for you and that you will be prepared to walk through them.Hybels message is so simple yet so good and right on mark. His personal examples were inspiring. I am still thinking about this book long after I read it and would definitely recommend it to other Christians.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The book explores the importance of personal evangelism. It provides ideas on how we can look for appropriate opens in conversations to discuss our faith and what we should say. Inspiring accounts of how Hybels has managed to engage strangers and friends in discussions of faith, some of whom ultimately became Christians, are also provided. This is a really great book that demonstrates how God can work on peoples' lives if we are willing to look for opportunities to share God's grace.
