About this audiobook
The grueling past months finally seem about to blossom into a happy future together for Dr. Claire McCall and her fiancé, John Cerelli. But their wedding plans are interrupted by circumstances so devastating they threaten everything Claire holds dear: her medical career, her relationship with John, and quite possibly her freedom.Working through the turmoil caused by a near rape, Claire has sought a counselor to help her untangle her emotions. What the counselor uncovers is shattering, but things are about to get worse. The man who assaulted her escapes from jail—and then, to top it off, Claire is accused of euthanizing a terminally ill patient. But the next death is the one that could shake Claire’s world to its foundation. How can so much be happening so fast—unless someone is choreographing this lethal nightmare? In this exciting sequel to Could I Have This Dance? and For the Rest of My Life, nothing may be as it seems. Not the present. And not the past.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Drug on a bit, the characters seemed oblivious to obvious clues. Dr. Jenkins basically disappeared toward the end of the book.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Too much drama for one person/couple in the book combined with all of Claire’s previous traumas. Finally it was “quit already!!!” And John’s wimpiness in dealing with Ami- he could have done better. But the book was still extremely interesting, and I think I liked Claire’s character better. Narrator wasn’t as good as first two books. But got used to her. Overall a pretty good mystery!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5What more could happen to one couple than what has happened to Claire McCall and her fiance JohnCerelli! To get a true picture of these folks you need to read the first two books in this series first. I found myself frustrated, irritated, scared and emotional exhausted after reading this series. In this last book Dr. Claire once again begins to doubt her fiance John and I just threw my hands up and said, "John you deserve better; you deserve someone who will believe in you and trust you more!". He is a jewel of a guy and very patient and understanding with Claire. Then I started to say to myself, "John, don't be so stupid! Can't you see what that girl Ami is trying to do to you and Claire?" Sometimes men can be very blind to the ways of women. But through it all their faith in God and in each other does see them through some very hard, rough and emotionally challenging trials in their life. The author finished well in this 3rd book! This is a book with death, rape and other hard subjects. But it was written very well and stayed very true to the story line and also seemed very true to life. The author, being a surgeon, truly does "flavor his writing with exceptional authenticity and technical knowledge", and I enjoyed that aspect of all 3 books in this series. If you are looking for intense, thrilling and an emotional roller coaster of a ride, then I suggest you pick up this series and get started!
