About this audiobook
Aaron Tucker, aspiring New Jersey screenwriter and occasional freelance journalist, puts on his sleuthing hat after a young man with Asperger's syndrome is arrested for a senseless murder. Despite damning evidence, including the accused's confession and possession of the murder weapon, Tucker, who has an autistic son, finds the nature of the crime incompatible with his understanding of the suspect's symptoms. Persisting even after a local mobster warns him off, the amateur detective uses his son to pursue the truth.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This my favorite of the three Aaron Tucker books, probably because of the introduction of the dog. Aaron is still staying home with his kids, writing freelance, and getting involved in a murder. This one touches pretty close to home and involves his son with Asperger's. There is still a lot of humor and those laugh out loud moments which have become a trademark of this series.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Cohen has written other books with the character, New Jersey writer, Aaron Tucker. This one was recommended to me by both Pam Mc. and Donna G. as being laugh out loud funny. I thought it was mildly amusing. It certainly fit the bill as a light-weight, easy-to-read little mystery. Sometimes it felt like Cohen was trying too hard to make yet another smart aleck quip, but I suppose that’s harmless. This book incorporates the Tucker’s son, Ethan, who has Asperger’s. Another Aspergers young man has been accused of murder and even though Aaron is a writer (both screenwriting and magazine articles) he is called upon to do some investigative work on the case. Apparently he’s done this in the past as he’s quite familiar with the local police. I get the feeling there are recurring characters in this series. It’s a low-budget book in terms of paper quality and typographical errors, but I would recommend it as a light, mostly amusing mystery.
