      Excellent, funny, cleverly written & a very enjoyable read. Thoroughly recommend especially to fans of Scott Lynch.

      Fantastic writer, clever and fill of action. BUT the whole book is one big plothole. Team up with a calculating mind and you will do wonders.

      Brilliant! I laughed out loud. The characters are alive and completely unpredictable.

      In order for Loch to prevent a war she has to steal a book. A book she recently gave away. But that's no problem. The problem is that the meeting to tell her about this book acquisition is actually a trap. It starts with a fight in a sacred temple and a stolen sword and just rolls (and flies) onward from there.

      The team is a family now, and they know it. They're used to each other's quirks and can almost always anticipate each other's next move. I can't, but they can.

      This is a great follow-up to The Palace Job. The action is non-stop and the twists come fast. There were some wonderful serious moments, some that were dealt with during this book and others that laid the foundation for future stories.

      Second book syndrome"The Prophecy Con" is the second of the Rogues of the Republic series and like many middle books in fantasy series, it tries to move too many people through too many plot lines too quickly. I got confused and didn't find it nearly as amusing as "The Palace Job" which I liked very much.That being said, I urge you to give it a try because the third book is shaping up to be something special and the point of a middle book is to be a bridge. The faults here are minor and to be expected in this kind of series.I received a review copy of "The Prophecy Con Rogues of the Republic (Book 2)" by Patrick Weekes (47North) through NetGalley.com.

      This book is fast-paced and action-packed with her endeavours to prevent a war with the Empire. The characters are super with witty exchanges & situations. Good humor with horror, pain,& tears. Interesting elves and dwarves that you find in fantasy books. Well-written and interesting. Will leave you wanting to read the next one!
