Lots to like about this book - especially all the cupcake recipes although the deep fried snickers one is not listed in the book.

Ansley get dumped by her boyfriend and in order to save face moves to New York with her estranged grandmother. There is healing, baking, etc as the book wraps up.

I think it is a good read for all who love to read about food - and its CLEAN!

This book was a big surprise...! I thought it would be a little fluff book, but it hit home in many ways, with a family member who has custody issues, and the cupcake recipes were worth the cost of the book alone...unique and fun, with a few twists. Take a selfish, spoiled sorority girl who is thrust into real life after she's humiliated in Texas....fun read

I thought this book was fun. It has the drama that a gossip girl episode or 90210 episode might have....the kind of drama that you would find among the rich and famous and may seem far fetched to the usual folks. However, I really liked the Ansley, as lost as she is and her grandmother. Both are flawed and learning how to make their own way. I loved how it didn't have the perfect happily ever after ending, although the ending wasn't sad either. The recipes sound so yummy and I can't wait to try some of them.

I enjoyed it more as a recipe book than a novel. I thought the grandmother's story was well done, but the granddaughter's had some issues.

Enjoyable read with many good recipes. Not a believable story, but a good beach read.

Ansley just graduated from college and after a humiliting breakup she moves in with her grandmother that she's never meet in New York. This book was a quick read was some useable cooking tips. I didn't like the characters at first but by the end of the book they all really grew on me.

A strange combination of Legally Blonde, The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, and Waitress (a la I Hate My Husband Pie-think cupcakes instead of pie though). I think this novel could benefit from better editing, but it is filled with recipes that I can't wait to try out.
