About this audiobook
She came to him as a precious gift, a naked angel rolled in a rug. Once he gazed into her green eyes, saw her tangle of honey blonde hair, he was undone with passion.
Elizabeth would never surrender. He was a hated Montgomery -- she was a Chatworth -- and the blood war between their families raged on, a wildfire of rape, murder, and betrayal.
Elizabeth vowed to fight the handsome lord, to resist the burning desire in his eyes -- no matter how great the temptation.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Sweet Scottish storytelling typical of this author. My only complaints about this series are 1-the women are smart and beautiful but make really dumb decisions or hold stubbornly stupid opinions that prevent them from being happy with their heroes. 2- the men are easily offended/prideful and often feel entitled to desert their wives while they are pregnant and then refuse to see their children. This is followed by flippant apologies that are by no means enough to explain or excuse. their behaviors. I find that I am far less inclined to enjoy such stories now that I am a full grown married woman with nearly grown children. For those still wearing their rose colored glasses these two issues may not detract from the story.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5What great story and also a very good narrator. I really enjoyed the entire book. I could hardly stop listening to do much of anything that is how I just had to give it 4. much I didn’t want to stop. What a wonderful exciting book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is a great ending to the early Montgomery
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Fourth and last in the "Velvet" series, this one follows the youngest brother, Miles, in his relationship with Elizabeth Chatworth -- which ties up the conflict of the series as a whole. I found this book frustrating; the fact that the author and the audience know from the beginning that Miles and Elizabeth will end up together (it's mentioned in the previous book, which overlaps slightly in timeline) means that the author simply launches Miles at Elizabeth with all the subtlety of a cannon, leaving any audience members who expect the characters to actually have a relationship going "WTF?"However, the book doesn't contain the patented Deveraux realization scene, and the last section -- bringing together the four fabulous Montgomery women -- is definitely worth the read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Story was well written, and the narrator did a beautiful job. There are tons of unexpected, plot twists…
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Of the entire "Velvet" series, I liked this one the most. Perhaps because Miles was less of a worthless a-hole than his brothers.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a beautifully written story. It’s a must read for regency Romance lovers.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Action packed and brutal love affair. The story and characters never miss a beat. The narration and performance was beautifully executed! I wouldn’t change one word in this, “Give Me More Series.”
