About this audiobook

My name is Amber Fraser. I've just moved in at Number 40, Lime Park Road. You'll think of me as a loving wife, a thoughtful neighbour and a trusted friend.

But this is a lie.

When Christy and Joe Davenport are handed the keys to Number 40 on picture-perfect Lime Park Road, it should be a dream come true. But it's strange that the house was on the market for such a low price. And that the previous owners, the Frasers, had renovated the entire property yet moved out within a year. And that none of the neighbours will talk to Christy.

As her curiosity begins to give way to obsession, Christy finds herself drawn deeper into the mystery of the house's previous occupants - and the dark and shocking secret that tore the street apart . . .
Addictive psychological suspense from the author of Our House, the Sunday Times bestseller amp; winner of a British Book Award.

Das Ende ist eine Zumutung für Opfer sexualisierter Gewalt. Obendrein wirkt der plot-twist aufgesetzt und krude. Bis dahin nett unterhalten, macht der Schluß dies zunichte.

It was really quite boring. Listening to it felt a bit like a chore. I didn't care for the sexual violence themes (TW!)

Very long winded for a simple plot, well written but more of a short story than a novel, I feel like much of it was wasted time.
