      The interwoven stories of Jo, war correspondent, and Elizabeth, fiancée of Robert, nursing in Brighton during the First World War. Some interesting insights into Kabul, but not the most exciting story I've ever read. The similarities between Jo and Elizabeth seemed rather contrived in places.
