About this audiobook
Off campus, things were just as dicey. The prof had an ex with secrets, a trophy wife set to inherit a fortune in masterworks, and a scorned student mistress. Going undercover, Nora realizes that investigating this crime is the biggest test of her sleuthing career. Because if she fails, even Nick's animal instinct won't be enough to rescue Lacey from a perfectly executed framing.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I listened to Claws For Alarm, by T.C. Lotempio on an unabridged MP3-CD. The story was better than the way than I listened to it. I had ordered it because I loved the first book in this series. I had mistakenly ordered it thinking it was on a CD for books. I bought an MP3 player, and it broke, therefore I ended up listening to the 24 parts one by one on my computer. It was tedious to start the parts one by one. Now, with that out of the way, the mystery had lots of twists and turns and I still Nora Charles but was started by her younger sister who had gotten herself arrested for the murder of the college art professor. Her sister, Lacey, is caught standing over the victim with a weapon in hand. Lacey did not seem grateful enough to that Nora was getting helping her, instead she was displaying her lifelong jealousy, Nora is the smartest and the pretty one of the two. Now, Nick, the tuxedo cat was at his best, and he is what makes the story for me. He spills scrabble tile and arranges them into clues for the mystery. He is overweight but extremely intelligent and makes me think of my own dear cat, Happy Day, a fitter cat but an extra smart cat.I enjoyed the story but think that if I decide to read the third and final story in the series that I will buy the e-book.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5A cosy mystery in which no effort whatsoever was made toward realism, lots of designer shoes are envy'd, the men are frequently remarkably handsome in hunky ways, and the cat communicates clues with scrabble tiles. Bletch! Spit! Hack!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5relationship with a fellow who works for the FBI. Now that new relationship is about to come in handy when her sister Lacey is arrested for murder. Now why wouldn’t everyone think that Lacey committed this crime, she was shouting to everyone that she was going to kill him, and then she is found with the knife in her hand leaning over his body. Of course, more than one person had spoken the same words, but not quite as loudly in front of so many witnesses.Of course Nora goes to her sister’s aid and brings her faithful, adopted, to big for a crate, cat Nick! He does also seem to arrive at the scene of trouble, and is so smart he give clues to Nora. Wonder if he picked up this sleuthing from his former owner and missing detective Nick?If you enjoy mysteries that are full of adventure and a few murders, this one will keep your attention to the end. Get ready for a quick page-turning read, and an added bonus of some yummy recipes at the end.I received this book through I Am A Reader, Not A Writer Blog Tours, and was not required to give a positive review.
