But his healing ability, incredible powers, and their mind-blowing physical connection—none of it should be possible, yet her body knows differently. Now, not only do they have to save each other, but other innocent lives are at stake. As the kidnappings continue and more and more Immortals go missing, Lucien has no choice but to let a non-hunter go into the lion’s den to try to help uncover exactly what is going on. Domitian will stop at nothing to find his life mate, including being kidnapped himself. He has no idea what is waiting for him on the island but needs to get to Sarita.

Sarita is appalled at the story Dr. Dressler told her after she inadvertently helped put a man back together again. But, waking up in paradise with no clothes except for bikinis and negligees, with a note directing her to the basement, she has to wonder how much of what he told her was true. Of course, if it is, she’s one pissed-off woman, and the man chained to the table in the basement is going to hear about it.

Domitian knows that Sarita is a strong-willed woman. He had no idea just how stubborn she really is. There is no way that she is accepting the idea of shared pleasure, of Immortals, of taking orders from anyone. He soon finds out that she is her own woman and will do what she thinks is best, no matter the outcome. He has his hands full but couldn’t be happier … even being held prisoner by a mad doctor who has cameras positioned all over and has gotten one hell of an eyeful of his Sarita. He has some ideas and it’s time to get her on board and get off of the island.

With a little bit of help from two little old ladies and a hybrid eagle (yea, Dr. Dressler is a wee bit deranged) they get the job done. But, not without a few mishaps.

I can always count on Lynsay Sands to bring a little joy into my sometimes-monotonous life. It amazes me how she can keep the Argeneau family saga going, how each story is new and different, and how she doesn’t repeat a storyline. I can always count on her to keep the story fresh and new. She has a way to blend the perfect balance between intrigue, love, humor, and some smoking hot sex. But, this is actually one of the first books that I was a bit of a problem with. I just couldn’t relate to Sarita. She just came off as way over-the-top at times and kind of had me cringing. I also missed the back-and-forth between all my favorite Immortals. Except for the beginning and the end of the story, there wasn’t any interaction with the Argeneau family and I love that so much in her books. Other than that, I was happy with the way the story played out, with the flawless writing of Lynsay Sands. I’ll never tire of reading about the Argeneau’s and I always look forward to whatever she releases … from her Paranormal Romance to her Medieval Romance to her Highlander Romance, I am always thrilled when she releases a new book and can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Good story. But often had the thought that the hero & heroine were pretty stupid. Especially about the cameras. Too many characters at the end - couldn't remember who they all were.

This series is just so readable and then you step away from it and you think "WHAT?"; it is the equivalent of too much cheap chocolate. Edible, nice, but too much crazy sometimes.Domitian Argenis recognised Sarita as his mate years ago, now he's dealing with him and her being kidnapped with him with very little clothing in a mad scientists other island, it's another Argeneau Vampire story. Sequel bait ending.
