Deskripsi

Within every community, toxic people can be found hiding in families, couples, companies, and places of worship. The cryptic nature of psychological abuse involves repetitious mind games played by one individual or a group of people.

Psychological abuse leaves no bruises. There are no broken bones. There are no holes in the walls. The bruises, brokenness, and holes are held tightly within the target of the abuse.

Super healing ! Practical and to the point! So understanding! I feel better! I now can identify some of the reasons fir my behaviors. I am more at ease with myself as I continue this healing process . Thank you for not holding back!

This book has been very helpful. I am in the 'education' stage of recovery from covert emotional abuse. Because I dealt with the abuse for 50 years I intend to move on through the phases but never stop learning. It is too easy to fall back into old habits if I am not continually learning.

I guess I'm in the minority here, I just didn't like this book very much. I found it long winded and not very well written. And also, this cartoonish "villain" depiction of the abuser is a bit old - we know that they suffer attachment injuries and often really DO NOT have any conscious notion of what they're doing. I don't think demonizing the abuser is very helpful in moving forward. They're damaged people who damage people. We need to steer of clear of them if they're strangers and get very solid boundaries and good trauma therapy if they are our relatives. The wounds can be life crippling and all the available resources should be focused on healing the victim with as little time spent comprehending (falsely, in this case) the pathology of the abuser. Good luck to everyone seeking healing and help.
