About this audiobook
The Red Threads of Fortune: In the second book in the Tensorate series, Sanao Mokoya has abandoned the life that once bound her. Broken by the loss of her young daughter, she now hunts deadly, sky-obscuring naga in the harsh outer reaches of the kingdom, far from everything she used to love.
On the trail of a massive naga that threatens the rebellious mining city of Bataanar, Mokoya meets the mysterious and alluring Rider. But all is not as it seems: the beast they both hunt harbors a secret that could ignite war throughout the Protectorate.
The Descent of Monsters: Neon Yang continues to redefine the limits of silkpunk fantasy with the Tensorate novellas. In this third volume, an investigation into atrocities committed at a classified research facility threatens to expose secrets that the Protectorate will do anything to keep hidden.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5One of its kind type of trilogy. It was stunning to get know the unique magic system, the complex society and incredibly lifelike characters described in these books. There was even icing on this cake: the author handled the gender topics and sexuality with a uplifting grace. The third book was a little alien to the previous two and suspended the whole storyline with an unfinished cliffhanger, but even with that the whole series was exceptional.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I very much enjoyed this series and I hope it has not ended. I listen to the audio books, because I have trouble with my concentration. So I don’t know if it’s me or because the audio comes across different that reading a book. Sometimes I’m confused about who is experiencing what. Especially in the last book and the last chapters. Nonetheless amazing story and I’ll will reread (or re-listen) again.
