About this audiobook

RiverAs the perilous journey across a country I believed destroyed begins, I no longer know who I am or what I’m becoming.

With every passing day, my abilities grow stronger, as does my fear of what comes next. My only certainties are that I will do anything to avoid becoming like Lucifer, and I will protect those I love... even if it means protecting them from me.

KobalWith an unknown number of enemies between us and the gateway, protecting River proves to be more difficult than I anticipated, but I won’t stop until I destroy Lucifer and reclaim River’s heart.

I’ll never let anything keep us apart—not even her.

When an attack leaves our troops vulnerable, I realize there are things I can never share with River… even if it means those secrets tear us apart.

Enjoying the story. Good narration. It does seem to be a bit dragged out. However, I am going to finish the rest.

So this book was a little harder for me to get into, it just seemed to go on about not much really. I can’t actual recall too much excitement happening in this book to be honest.

So at this stage, I’m not sure about continuing with the series.

DAAAAAAAAAAANG. This book was amazing! There is so much happening and it is completely riveting. I love how there is a complete world you just buy into. The descriptions of the wall, the characters, and believable relationships are phenomenal. I love how River is growing and learning about her self and her strength. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen in the next book!

I quickly dove into book 2 to carry on the journey of River and Kobal. It's interesting seeing all of River's powers come to life and still not knowing the full capacity of her abilities. It doesn't help that River rarely listens to Kobal and danger seems to be around every corner.

The side characters are so funny and bring this found family trope into play. Even if it is so mix-matched. They all bring a different element to the story and I enjoy seeing how they all start to form a protective bond over River as the story goes on.

Kobal is the perfect alpha with a cinnamon roll interior when it comes to River. He definitely has his massive demon tantrums but River starts to figure out how to navigate around these as their story grows. As they venture on their journey they definitely manage to find as much alone time as possible but there are a few fade-to-black scenes included.

Excellent story! Seamless continuation from previous two books. Love the twists and the writing is so descriptive I can mentally visualize the characters. Looking forward to the fourth segment

You still quite a bit of action as River and cobal make their way towards the gateway to hell. They encounter many different demons and other creatures from hell. But also grow in strength
