About this audiobook

The New York Times best-selling series continues with a thrilling revelation - brand-new tribes of dragons!

Some secrets are deadly. It's no secret that Sundew wants to destroy the HiveWings. It's her life's mission to exact revenge on the tribe that tried to wipe out the LeafWings and ripped every tree from the surface of Pantala.

Every tree, that is, except the wild and dangerous Poison Jungle, where the surviving LeafWings have been hiding since the war. Hiding, plotting, and waiting for a dragon like Sundew, who is uniquely qualified to bring down the Hives.

There are dark secrets in the jungle, though - some that Sundew is keeping, and some that she's only just beginning to discover. And now that a new war is upon them, Sundew and her friends must unearth the oldest secret in the jungle - even if what they find has the power to destroy them all.

Author

Tui T. Sutherland

Tui T. Sutherland & Kari Sutherland are sisters and best friends, and if you can’t tell by looking at them which one is older, Tui certainly isn’t going to tell you. They grew up in South America, traveling a lot and moving several times (and they’re still only about 80 percent certain that their parents weren’t secret agents). Kari now lives in California, while Tui lives in Boston, but they use every excuse they can to see each other (like, say, writing a book together).

I loved it because it was unexpecting at the end. It is one of my favorite books out of the series.

I felt like there was so much time spent on Sundew, her emotions, her past issues with her tribe, and her relationship with Willow that the plot lagged. Bumblebee was so cute and helped bring some humor to what otherwise felt like an overly mushy and dramatic plot for a middle grade book. But I'm sure the longtime fans of the series who want it to last as long as possible appreciate the tactics to draw things out. The narrator did a great job.

Beautiful settings, characters, story etc. It's nice to see a normal friend group in a story, where there's disagreements and fights and not everyone has the same interests but they are able to work through it together instead of them all being connected at the hip, perfect- besties-forever.

This book has an interesting plot that captivates you, making you want more. The characters are written well, some easily hated, some loved by all and some with flaws or quirks that some people may like about them or some dislike.

It's also lovely seeing some queer reputation in a book for younger audiences where it's normal and just is. The main character has a girlfriend and it's not questioned, it's normalised.

OMG, this is probably my favorite book in the series so far, THANK YOU SO MUCH TUI FOR THE REPRESENTATION! it’s soo nice to have this stuff in children’s books. Also Stop being homophobic, so what If the main character is gay it doesn’t change anything about the story, if willow was a boy it would not change the story one bit. I like how it’s so normalized In the book, it’s not a big deal. Anyway there are other people Beyond your Little world so just shut up. :) I absolutely love the story anyway and I also really like Sundue’s character, and OMG bumblebee is so cute!!! :)

I loved this series. So disappointed that the writer has sold out to the woke fashion trend. Homosexual dragons make no sense. This could have been an amazing friendship journey, but instead it turned out to be another LGBTQ agenda pushing book. There needs to be the LGBTQ tag on this so I know it’s not safe for my children.

Favorite series ever great book. It’s depressing how many scum bags in this crappy world can understand that LGBTQ+ is perfectly fine and appropriate. How can it be inappropriate if it’s just the way it is. I have a friend who is bi . It’s just sad how crappy people are. Wonderful book and author. *Ahem* other reviews

I loved this book, sundews little frog was SO CUTE! Also why is no one talking about bumblebee?! (Those who are angry about sundew being lesbian) this community gets little to no representation in the mainstream, it helps bring more depth to this character as well! Just LEAVE TUI ALONE!!! she’s just trying to reach broader communities. Great book!

I absolutely love Wings Of Fire. It is my favorite book series there is. This was an amazing book. However, I do have a few complaints. Why do Sundew and Willow have to be Lesbian. It throws the whole book off. Don’t get me wrong I still love the character Sundew and her book. I just wish Sundew was not Lesbian. That is why I have rated this 4 stars rather than 5. Thank you for reading this.
