This is a delightful series! Like everyone else, I saw the Netflix movie, and I started with Book 2. This one, The Peculiar Pink Fan, has been my favorite thus far. But Nancy Springer often reminds the reader that no matter how charming Enola is, or how wonderful Sherlock is, Victorian England was a place filled with horrible orphanages, where 16 year old girls were married off to men twice their age, and where beggars freeze to death on the streets. Lots of social commentary behind the whimsy of the premise. I listened to Books 2, 3, & 4 in rapid succession to find that scribd pulled the plug on me for some reason. The other titles won’t be ready till 15 days from now. Stars and garters! as Enola likes to curse.
