About this audiobook
Magick is real. It's also highly illegal-not that I'm worried about that.
Sure, I heal faster than most, and I've got a sixth sense for brewing tea that can fix just about any problem, but my cafe isn't exactly a hotbed of paranormal activity. At least it wasn't . . . until some psycho attacked me and woke up the freaky, forbidden magick inside, earning me a one-way ticket to jail. Now, a covert magickal university is offering me a deal: my freedom in exchange for help with the Tarot prophecies-cryptic predictions they believe hold the key to stopping a deadly apocalyptic plot.
Predictions only I can decipher. Because the witch who divined them? She died years ago. I should know. She was my mother.
Grab your grimoires, girls. Magick school's officially in session.
All I have to do now is master my crazy powers, decode the doomsday prophecies, outwit a mean-girl coven that puts the psycho in psychic, and survive the temptations of one very naughty professor and three scorching-hot, overprotective mages shadowing my every move.
There's only one problem. If I'm right about the prophecies? Survival isn't in the cards for any of us.
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is the first book that I have read by Sarah Piper. As someone who does identify as a witch this was very interesting. This book has renewed my interest of the tarot. So I have been doing my own research. I love how she really incorporates the so deeply into this story. This is a book that you just need to listen to or read. There were so many twists and turns that I did not anticipate. It kept me on my toes.
Nicole Poole nd Stephen Dexter are amazing together. There are five POVs in this book and Stephen does four of the five. He really does make each POV of the men their own. Some voice actors just use the same tone and inflection but he really stuck to the voices he created for every character. He has become one of my favorite male voice actors. Nicole Poole this is the first book I have listened to her narrate. She was a dream to listen to. Her voices for the characters just seemed to fit their personality. When a voice actress can do that I know she will be one that I seek out to listen to more of her work. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I wanted to like this book more then I did. It started out strong for me. I enjoyed the main characters and the audio was done exceptionally well. I fell in love with Cass (aka Doc) and I'm not sure if it was the character himself or the sinful voice reading his part. Then it started to go downhill when she went to the Academy. It became complicated. The Tarot cards, all the different names for the same things, not to mention the different meanings. It just became a little much. Then she almost changed. She went from strong and independent to almost needy and I really really worry this is going to be a fall in love with all the guys kind of storyline.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Really good opening to this series. The prophecies are really well thought and there’s a lot of potential in what’s to come. Loved the heroine’s sense of humor as well as her connection to all the guys. I will definitely read/listen to the next book !
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The story is good and interesting but the actors doing the reading are so distracting. The woman in particular is very monotone and weirdly rushes through some of the sentences. It’s awkward at best.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5DNF. The FMC reads like a 13 year old. The two narrators read at very different paces. Having to switch speeds based on who's narrorating the chapter is super annoying.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Stayed for story but the narrator isn’t right for this story. Would have gave a higher rating if I just read it.
