My husband is camping on-site surveying the land we now own in rural Washington. We're learning about permaculture. Noninvasive native edible plants are already growing abundant and wild in the former riverbed we've been entrusted with, so we're going to follow nature's lead and encourage the growth of a self-sustaining native food forest. The wild edible plants that grow on my land are free for anyone to eat. I believe that food should be free. Now I can help create that reality.
We've got everything we need to build an extremely modest off-grid self-contained homestead. We've got just exactly enough to live outdoors among the trees and focus on healing. Healing the land, healing ourselves, healing whoever shows up and wants some healing.
I want to help homeless people sell crafts and buy beer. I want to publish a quarterly magazine to showcase the incredible writing and drawings and ideas that come out of my silenced friends. I want to feed people and I want everyone to be safe in a bed at night. I want to make medicine out of plants and I want to make magic out of metal. I want to heal with my hands the way my husband has done his whole life. I want to do good things that make my heart happy. I want to help every1 feel hopefuller.view less
