      As usual, it always helps when I really like the main character---in this case a divorced architect, mother of twins, trying to sort out her life amid losing her job. An email reconnection with the first real love of her life makes the story very readable---people change over time, or do they?

      This was good, but I liked her other novel, "Crossing Brooklyn Ferry" better. A lot going on in this book, and I thought it was predictable.

      I really was surprised at how good a book this turned out to be. Although it is a very light read, it was a good story with strong characters and it flowed nicely. The only problem I had with this book was the extreme overuse of the word "extraordinary". I cannot imagine how the author or her editor could have not noticed this. It about drove me crazy! I was actually laughing time and time again when the word would appear...sometimes 2 and 3 times within a couple pages. It just struck me as "extraordinarily" too much of a good word! Geez!!Other than getting hung up on that "e" word, this book was well written and I would like to see more of this author's work.
