    Tempt the Fates is the start of a short-story series about a brother and sister who keep finding themselves learning about the world around them through the most difficult means possible. Maybe it's all a euphemism for growing up - maybe it's nothing more than a magical story about a smart-mouthed kid and his stubborn older sister...you decide.
