      HOW YOU CAN SUCCEED IN MLM AND NETWORK MARKETING

      Multi-level marketing (MLM)—also referred to as network marketing, personal selling, and word-of-mouth marketing—offers unlimited opportunities for those with the right product—and the right selling techniques, combined with perseverance, persistence, and—yes—a bit of being in the right place at the right time. It also offers great flexibility and freedom: You can devote as much or as little time to selling as you want, ranging from a full-time commitment to a few hours a week. And the rewards are proportionate: Those giving it their all can reap the multi-thousand-dollar checks and million-dollar-a-year incomes, while many part-timers average several thousand dollars a month.

      Today the appeal of MLM seems to be on the rise once again, especially due to hard economic times. It is at least a $50 billion industry in sales worldwide. You have probably heard of many of the biggest MLM companies, and dozens of new ones are started each month. Many of these will become among the biggest tomorrow – and they offer the opportunity of getting in early to help build the company.

      You can make of MLM what you will—and another big plus is you can usually start with very little investment—less than $100 in many companies for an introductory sales kit and some product samples—in return for the possibility of making a large income—and doing it as the independent head of your own company.

      For many, MLM offers a supportive, community-type way of doing business as part of a network, which provides not only money, but friendship, good feelings, and support by positive, motivated, success-oriented people.

      The computer and communications revolution has also contributed to MLM's rapid growth today, because these make possible MLM sales networks circling the globe and using instant communications to spread the word. The computer has made it possible to track commissions easily under all sorts of marketing systems, which provide levels of overrides for large groups of people who are part of an ever-growing sales teams.
