Dear Jan: Elder-Care
Dear reader,
Many people have asked about my 20 years of providing care to elders and families. This letter was written in response to one very dear friend’s request for information. She had sustained a sudden physical change one afternoon, while out with friends. Her life was changing, and she needed help at home, just to stay independent. My friend did not have any idea what that meant, or the trials that lay ahead. We talked on the phone back and forth, and I shared ideas which I’ve shared with dozens or families over the years. I wrote my friend a letter. The ebook you’re about to read sprang from that letter. And after discussing the letter with her family, she and others encouraged me to edit this letter into a book, which I have. You are about to read it.
I hope this information (and that of my other elder care e-books,) will help those who are looking for insights about the vocation and art of elder care. Thank you for reading this ebook, and Happy Caring, One and All!
