Correction does much, but encouragement does more.

An important part of your life calling as a teacher is to be a source of encouragement for your students, and it’s a job you take very seriously and perform with excellence. But who is there to encourage you when you’re feeling run down or discouraged?
God is always there to lend a listening ear, and He’s provided countless words of encouragement just for you in the Scriptures.
He also instructs us to seek refuge in other believers and to be a source of encouragement for each other. Is there another teacher at your school who is a believer and who would be willing to become your prayer partner? Or maybe there are many believers at your school who would be blessed by the strength and encouragement a prayer group provides.
Take time to be refreshed and encouraged yourself so you’ll be ready when your students need your encouragement.
A Letter to My Teacher
Dear Teacher,
You are always there with a word of encouragement when I need it the most. You seem to know just what to say to make me feel valuable and capable of the task that lies ahead. Your loving words inspire me to reach for greatness and give me hope, even when the circumstances around me seem dismal.
Thank you for the loving encouragement that you so freely give. I hope you know how valuable your contribution is in my life and in the lives of all your students. Thank you for your sensitivity to the needs of my heart.
Sincerely,
Your Student

Unlike some in his profession, my sixth-grade English teacher—Mr. Duncan—seemed to realize that the true blessing of being a teacher is in the opportunity to help shape a human soul.
Since I attended nine schools in twelve years, it seemed as if I was always the new kid.
After turning in one particularly lengthy poetry assignment, Mr. Duncan asked me to stay after class.
This is very good,
he said. And very sad. Why are you so sad?
When I complained that I just didn’t fit in, Mr. Duncan folded his hands on his desk and said, "Look at my fingers. They all have a place. They all fit. That’s the way God
