One of the worst Christmas craft books it has ever been my misfortune to come across. Greenie sermon on steroids, chock full of really bad and poorly thought out ideas ie using glue and real glitter on fruit as decoration and then eating the fruit.

Let's face it, the holiday season is geared towards conspicuous consumption. There's a lot of complaining about this that goes on every year about this time, but I don't see a lot of people doing anything about it. Getty is at least trying and for that I give her points. But I have to say that the book itself is rather uninspiring. Maybe it's me, maybe I just haven't got the right mindset to appreciate the projects she presents here, but I've been making Christmas gifts for years and frankly I think most of them were more exciting than what I've seen here.I can't say it's a bad book, just kind of bland. It's nice to have a resource that helps us make greener decisions, and that's where Getty shines. But over all? Meh.
