Author

Julia James

Mills & Boon novels were Julia James’ first “grown up” books she read as a teenager, and she's been reading them ever since. She adores the Mediterranean and the English countryside in all its seasons, and is fascinated by all things historical, from castles to cottages. In between writing she enjoys walking, gardening, needlework and baking “extremely gooey chocolate cakes” and trying to stay fit! Julia lives in England with her family.

The one star is for the Julia James story. It out such a bad taste in my mouth I couldn’t stomach reading the other story.

With JJ, I never believe the hero loves the heroine for being another other than convenient. What was worse is during their 4 years apart, he wouldn’t have been celibate. He had unprotected sex with the heroine4 years earlier and then again in the current timeline. Following that logic, the heroine should expect a whole lot more of the hero’s offspring appear over the next little while seeing as he’s a fan of not using condoms with his mistresses. Definitely did not feel the romance in that story!!

Two shorter but nonetheless enjoyable stories. Old school style with gentlemen heroes just lovely

I'm a bit disappointed with the h in the first story. She (and the H) capitulated too easily. You can't tell me that two emotionally repressed types would immediately turn into gushing founts of love on the basis of one emotionally wrought scene. I did like the story though and found it believable.

a well written story but the premise is unbelievable. Guy is a womanising jerk who discards women like underwear. how could he be in love with heroine at the same time discarding her like garbage...worst of all she forgave so easily. This story could have been improved if the girl was steadfast in rejecting him until he groveled and cried for her forgiveness.
