About this ebook

Via latest in-home High Technology, you can now, in rapid time frame, develop mystical mind states that took the ancients lifetimes.

You put on headphones and listen to High Tech CDs, stereophonically synchronising left and right brains. Then ‘hey presto’, doorways to the subconscious open. Much of what has telepathically, intuitively, prophetically, clairvoyantly, ‘astrally’, escaped you hitherto, can at last be captured. The different frequencies the audio can tune you to, resonate where psychic or ‘spiritual gifts’ await you secretly.

You could have OBEs; heal too, if that’s your hope. Hang-ups are easily dealt with, listening in to your peaceful affirmations, if you wish.

The CDs meditate you! Their Nature sounds lull you into enlightening bliss. ‘Miracle’ altered states of consciousness inform you.

Psychical research, ‘spiritual gifts’, the Paranormal, Parapsychology, Transpersonal (i.e. more spiritual) Psychology, all interface here. The author earned a PhD, living and researching the psycho-spiritual spectrum. His collection of books testify to this. You couldn’t be in better, kinder hands.

Stuart, the author, a lifetime Psychospiritual Researcher, Psychotherapist and Parapsychologist, illuminates all, letting readers into priceless secrets. Even to programming themselves without high-tech!

    INTRODUCTION

to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits etc. St Paul Cor’ 1.12."—subjects quoted still alive today, not necessarily religiously but at the heart of all psychical research and modern day Parapsychology. (The Author).

The words psychic, spiritual and paranormal will interchange throughout this book and context will make all clear. Historically, fashion changes and word emphasis is a part of that process. I shall rely on my readers’ good sense to understand this and try and avoid lengthy explanations. Many other psychospiritual words will also be interchanged, as readers of my first book, ‘Ghosts E.S.P. & Psychology’, (‘My True Experiences UK NZ & Australia’), will have already become familiar with; as well as with my second book, ‘Self Help Psychotherapy’ (‘Meditatively via High tech).

Over much of a lifetime spent fascinatingly with the whole psychospiritual continuum, I’ve learned that to have a clear head, as free as possible from hang-ups and negative conditioning, is pre requisite to good psychic/spiritual—or to use the word more favoured by modern science—paranormal, development. At one time we used to say supernormal or supernatural—words that eventually got a spooky edge or nuance to them. Paranormal hasn’t yet won that latter day distinction though means just about the same and yet is more or less spooky or squeaky clean in connotation. It is scientific terminology—to some, pure and not tainted by the grass root movements; yet it’s to those they look to for a lot of their research. I quoted eminent parapsychologist, Dr. John Beloff, of the Dep’t of Psychology at Edinburgh University, also The Society for Psychical Research UK, in my books, op cit, above, on how purists should honour their grass roots researchers more, for everything flowers from them, surely?

Psychic or Psychical Research were the old terms for what is now known as Parapsychology—once again a more puristic or scientific sound for the same subject. Yet it was Cambridge dons’ etc who formed The S.P.R. in the late 1800s (mentioned above and still using its revered title in scholarly research standing). Well! Old names or new names, I’m happy to work with both and I’m a good mix of academic and grass roots research too, so that should keep everyone happy!

In this book I shall dip biographically into my first book’s ghostly/ spiritual/extra sensory perception material (ESP), not just to creatively entertain you, my readers’ but, from first-hand experience, show you how to develop in these things for yourselves. As a Psychotherapist, I also dip into my second book ‘Self-Help Psychotherapy’ (Meditatively via High tech), devoting some part of this book to self-help clearing of the mind and its hang-ups; so absolutely important to quality paranormal development, believe me.

Of course, we can pursue meditational and relaxation studies merely aiming for some measure of, or escape into inner peace and gradual enlightening (not enlightenment, that being an ‘absolute’, rarely if ever reached on Earth, unless among the wishful thinking or possibly deluded folk). It isn’t vital that we separately try to develop what St Paul in Corinthians1.12., didn’t want us to be ignorant about, namely spiritual gifts but they do seem to develop as we axiomatically clear up our minds and become more spiritual. Further, however, some saintly or seemingly highly evolved souls, are in natural ‘highs’ anyway, hardly needing meditational entrainment for psychospiritual advancement, but there’s hopefully something of help for all of us and at any level of consciousness, creatively herein. However, as my reminders throughout the book will show, there are, paradoxically, different levels of transcendence, not just one. Most of us can hardly expect to spiritually evolve (again I mix the old with new terminology to help readers’ overall grasp) without first dissolving our psychological conditioning. By analogy, we have to learn to stand before we can take the next (evolutionary?) steps; look before we leap. Yes? So! What I’m saying in summary, is that we can develop aspects of our- selves, psychological, psychic, or spiritual etc, but they do progress better if not in isolation. It seems that healthy mind, emotions, body and spirit inclusively (and that includes their psychic ramifications) are helpful for true illumining, enlightening and transcendence. The more balanced the overall, the more balanced each aspect of us in turn, it would seem (with perhaps some more exceptions I’ll discuss in the various chapters). The higher purposed and less psychologically damaged our souls, the higher our spiritual gifts (prophecy & healing etc, as written about by St Paul). Psi & paranormality, equating nowadays with psychic research, equate also with those spiritual gifts. I’ll keep the debate as lively and exciting as possible, poised in conclusions chapter and epilogue.

The case for reincarnation does seem to modify the debate. It suggests, as we’ve seen, that highly evolved, gifted and saintly souls, can come back to guide and inspire us. They would find little use themselves for the psychological and transcendent steps most of us need and yearn to attain. However it’s part of the ordinary human condition to deny, rationalise away, or project psychological or descendent (non-transcendent!) stuff away, rather than recognise it consciously and overcome it. Thus we so often delude ourselves that we are on some less painful ‘cloud nine’ and have, by degrees, indeed transcended. Sadly it’s not that easy! My last book (on Self- Help Psychotherapy – meditatively) was meant to clear that denial and unreality. True reality, in Earthly sense, often seems so hard to face. I’ll be refreshing you a little, dear readers, on psychotherapy in meditation, in this book, it being so imperative to psychospiritual growth overall. Many people take outstanding and wonderful quantum leaps, paranormally, after first overcoming minds negativities, utilising high tech in meditation. This cannot be repeated enough.

I’ve been open or even brave enough to face my own hang-ups in all my writings, along with other helpful and judged interesting case histories; ‘sharing’ successes that others might be inspired by, in their own growth work. Let me be your guide, both psychologically and spiritually. I’ve devoted a lifetime toward this end. I’ve known the sufferings and the joys of life too, as was explicit in my first, more biographical book (‘Ghosts E.S.P.& Psychology’).

There’ll be review herein of all my earlier works, now and then, in the chapters and as appropriate to the context of ‘Meditating the Paranormal’. My trust is that you will be fascinated and enjoy the readings, especially the true, personal guiding experiences and other cases. I shall do my best to keep up that cracking good pace and good read that reviewers say I always give. It will be over some very profound material nevertheless, especially the 21st century’s up-coming, cutting edge stuff (notably that of ‘The Scole Group’s avant-garde psi (a scientifically neutral word for psychic phenomena, without postulating any philosophical or religious view).

Technically, since the computer and word processor age, abbreviation has got more than ever abbreviated. I’m going along with these new conventions even as they’re still changing. One typist I employed would insist on stops after etc but not after address lines on envelopes. Another would do things differently. What one sees in this book is what common sense is evolving. Etc with the stop, looks clumsy, I believe, as does finicky spacing, when word processors alternate this anyway, lining up words at margins. I’ll go for what looks best on pages, OK? Well! Poetry is often enhanced by layout, sometimes more than by rigid office practice or grammarian rules.

I will underline some things that have been of immense importance to me, over a lifetimes psychospiritual development. They will motivate powerfully (a basic psychological law then operates). They will inspire; raise expectations, as faith through knowledge. This upgrades the psychic/spiritual energies (via basic metaphysical law). I’m positive they will be of immense importance to readers as well as myself and others I’ve long been associated with. By the laws of attraction we usually invite according to our needs. There are many other largely unwritten metaphysical laws also. Maybe I’ll be able to get around to recording them in my further writings, one day.

Readers will also note that my writing will change from the collective and the general to very much the personal, when I wish to identify with you (I’ve just done it!). I never want to preach to you, so I’ll come in close with my fellow human sharing – one with you at times. I’ll reiterate things in different style, so that we do not lose any nuance of important truth and knowledge. Certainly I won’t all the time be technical, or strictly grammatical. Hopefully we’ll poetically bond, on what could otherwise be too scientific sounding a work. Bear with scientific readers if you’d just prefer the anecdotal writings, just as I hope they’ll in turn, bear with some of our warmer empirical research and style.

The subject overall is very deep, as all will admit. The very profundities of life and glimpses of eternity are here no less. Science, philosophy and the psychologies cannot be left out, of the ‘holism’. Romance and adventure are not the legitimate topics but I’ll be as creative with those themes as helps along a ripping good read, hopefully. If you’ve got this far with my trilogy of books, along the psychospiritual spectrum, (with possibly one or two more in the pipeline) then you’ve had and are still having an enjoyable read. I’m honoured, though also hoping you’ll have noticed my sense of holistic mission. We all serve in our own way. Do enjoy the chapter readings and epilogue, won’t you?

    CHAPTER I

Ordinary hunches, intuitions etc, without high tech

Love and concerns are often the key; they can be felt; their frequencies transmit across continents and oceans – realms material and spiritual. (p.8)

Quite spontaneously and without specific entrainment, nearly all of us some more than others, get hunches or intuitions supernormally, therefore defying normal logic and perception. This is why we get the term extra sensory perception (E.S.P.) Along with the animals on Earth we seem to have that inbuilt transcendent way of knowing things beyond our normal ken, particularly as a measure of protecting our survival, even before we are faced with danger. We just ‘know’ something threatening is going to happen (but nice things too, by the same frequencies!) Take notice, and if we’re lucky we survive, all the better. I pose the question here: but is it luck?

So! The processes of forewarning or foreboding were originally more concerned with survival, in humankinds more primitive stages. Other words include presentiment, precognition, prescience (far seeing, fore-knowledge, or prophetic sense of things to come, my dictionary). It appears these things have now become more and more refined and subtle as we’ve become increasingly civilised (have we really?!). Some would say we’ve become too complicated in the survival criteria of 21st century human jungles and relationships. However, just as our psyches’ generally have kept pace with modern living,
