Deskripsi

Written by Scribd Editors

Bloomsbury's bestselling picture book The Selfish Crocodile by Faustin Charles and Michael Terry has become a children's classic.

Telling the tale of an enormous and very selfish crocodile who will not share his river with any of the other animals. Being forced to travel miles out of their way, the other animals have no other choice for a drinking supply.

Until one day, animals near and far were rudely awoken by loud groans coming from the river. Upon further inspection, it was the crocodile suffering from intense mouth pains.

All of the animals were too afraid to approach the crocodile, having built up his reputation, so they stood to the side and watched as he agonized. Until an unexpected helper comes to the crocodile rescue, completely changing his mentality from that day forward.

In The Selfish Crocodile, the story of kindness and kindness is met with a reminder that bravery comes in all shapes and sizes.

In this story there is a big crocodile that is very selfish. He will not let the other animals drink or bathe in his river. So, the other animals have to go miles out of their way to get something to drink. Until one day they heard a groan coming from the river and when they went to check it out they saw the crocodile laying on his back holding his jaw in pain. The animals were scared to get to close to him but there was a little mouse who was not scared at all. The little mouse crawled in the crocodiles open mouth and pulled a cracked tooth. The crocodiles pain was gone and he was so happy. He then let all the animals drink and swim in his river. I enjoyed this story. It is a great story on how to not be selfish. I think its a very good book for children to read so they can learn about how to share things. After the story the classroom could each tell about a time when they shared with someone and felt good about it.
