      I was taken away by this lovely romance. It's almost like a true Cinderella story. I loved the characters of Philip and Jemma, their story is so different than many I read. All the characters in the book are wonderful, from the stiff, up-right butler to the oh so proper and gruff Duke, who is really a kind and soft hearted grandfather in disguise. Of course I love revisiting with the other wonderful characters of the Once Upon a Rogue series and how they come together in this book. There were plenty of surprises in Philip and Jemma's story, and some adventure also. It was wonderful to finally get Philip's story, and get to know him more. He has overcome a lot, and has always put his families needs first over his own. His poetic soul and romantic heart are revealed in his search for a wife, one who can help restore his estates, and can awaken his heart. All that and more come to life in My Enchanting Hoyden. I highly recommend this book and all the books in this series. They are amazing stories.

      Heartwarming romance!

      Julie Johnstone is one of my favorite authors for historical romances, so when I noticed that her new story, My Enchanting Hoyden, was to be released, I had to read it. I was thrilled with the 3rd book in her Once Upon a Rogue series.

      It's the beautiful romantic story of Philip De Vere, Lord Harthorne and Miss Jemma Adair. Since the age of 12, Jemma had always liked and trusted William, the man she thought she would marry one day! Unfortunately, he betrays her and marries a rich lady!

      Now, desperate and nowhere to go, she needs the help of her grandfather, but, what he proposes to her, doesn't please her too much. What will she do? Meanwhile,Philip, is in a terrible need of money, so he has to find a rich lady to marry! This man is a poet with words, will he charm Jemma? She is not exactly the woman he is seeking, she is not a rich person. But love will send passion toward Jemma and Philip's friendship and their worlds will collide ever so strong.

      My Enchanting Hoyden is full of tenderness, humor, trust and love! This third story is very well written and fun to read!
