Found (Mate of the Cave Bear) Book One Of The Dualis

Curvy girl Jenna has been chosen to go back in time to mate with a cave man in order to save the human race. Some might see that as an honour, but Jenna is doing it for money. Tworn Corporation have paid off her mom's medical bills and when she returns they will pay her a large amount of money for her services.

That's the part that scares her. Because her "services" consist of going back in time to mate with a Neanderthal man. Attached by some kind of tether, once she is pregnant she will be pulled back through the wormhole and give her child to science.

Injured on landing and left to the mercy of a Neanderthal, Haran, she soon learns this is not going to be as easy as she thought. Because as time goes by she finds herself falling for her saviour and this new and exciting world.

Yet danger threatens in the form of the Masu. A terror that Haran will not explain to her. But when she learns of Haran's other side, the pieces start to fit together. Only it’s much too late.

Contains scenes only suitable for adults.

    Found - Harmony Raines

    Chapter One

    Jenna

Jenna adjusted the clothes she had been given to wear, feeling too hot in the fur lined jacket. However, she knew that tomorrow, she would be thankful for it. At least they were comfortable and she had been given undergarments to wear too. It was the only thing she was taking that were not typical of Neanderthal times. An exception had been made because they were made from cotton and other natural fibres. In other words, they would rot down into nothing and leave no trace for archaeologists to find in the future.

There would never be any suspicions raised about anything in the canvas pack she had slung over her shoulder either. All the tools she carried were fashioned just as they would have been 30,000 years ago. Nothing to raise any questions, if she never came back and her survival gear was left in the past with her bones.

Shall we go through the sequence again? Martha asked.

Jenna looked at the young woman, who was talking her through how the machine worked. They had been over it so many times Jenna thought her head would explode. No. I’ve got it.

It’s the tethering I’m most concerned about, Martha persisted.

I understand how it works. Once I land. She wanted to say, If I land. I will stay there until I am pregnant with the child of a primitive man. Then, when I get close to the tether, it will pull me back through the wormhole.

Yes, Martha said, It’s very important, because it’s your only way back.

Jenna felt a shiver of fear up her back. She knew the repercussions of losing the tether; it would mean she would be stuck in the distant past. Not for the first time she wondered exactly how she ended up standing here next to a time machine. A time machine. Nausea threatened. Tomorrow she would step into this thing and be catapulted thousands of years back in time, in the hope that she would breed with a Neanderthal man. If she were successful, she would be brought back here, so they could study it and take its blood for their tests.

The theory was that the child she carried would be the saviour of the human race. Her child. She shied away from the thought of how exactly she was going to get pregnant. Never having had sex made her the perfect subject for their experiment. As a virgin, she was not tainted by another male. Clean was how they had described her; no fillings in her teeth, no healed broken bones, nothing inside her to indicate she was from the twenty second century. They had even done something with her bones so that if she were ever carbon dated she would never raise a question. She was about as un-unique as anyone could be. There was no doubt in her mind that was why they had chosen her.

Martha put a hand on her shoulder, making her jump out of her daydream. It will be alright, Jenna.

Thanks, Martha. You have been so kind to me.

I think this is an incredible thing you are doing.

Jenna gave a short laugh. If I didn’t have so much debt I wouldn’t have ever thought about going through with something like this. As it is I don't really have a choice, my mom’s medical bills are so big that I will live my whole life in debt. This was a way out.

    I’m sorry about your mom.

At least she is out of pain now. She sighed and looked down at the clothes she wore. Once she took off the fur jacket, they showed far too much of her curvy body, she wondered if that was the point. That some Neanderthal man would find her irresistible. No chance, men in this time didn’t, so why would a man used to hunting and foraging be attracted to her?

She would be proud of you, Martha said, flipping switches to take the machine off line. Then she ushered Jenna out of the room and locked the door, setting the alarm, before turning once more to Jenna. Now, you should get some sleep. It’s a big day tomorrow.

That’s it then, the dress rehearsal is over, Jenna said flatly.

"Yes. All set. Get changed and set the pack down over there. Then go and eat before you sleep. You need to keep your strength up, until you know the terrain when we send you through, it might be a while before you eat. Just remember, water
