    This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of the Ministry of the Word are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
    In this book, we explore six topics, from different verses in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. They are: 10 things about teaching God’s word; Stopping the Word; God’s reasoning; “Say a word”- the dynamics of faith; Understanding the scriptures; and The sureness of scriptures.

    10 things about teaching God’s word
    “We also need hunger for truth. When people were departing from Jesus because of some of the things he was teaching, he asked Peter and the other apostles, do you also want to leave? Response: where would we go, seeing that you have the words of eternal life? He was hungry enough for the word of God to stay with Jesus no matter (John 6:68).”
    Stopping the Word
    “Faith also helps us to ask: ‘what I should do now because of the word, who I should become?’ as we allow the word to lead us in that direction.”
    God’s reasoning
    “So the way back to him is either his way or no way. It is either his perspective or it is no perspective, it’s either according to his marking scheme or you fail.”
     “Say a word”- the dynamics of faith
    “Faith is acting based on the reality of the unseen. If you have to see it to see to believe, then you have not started at all in faith. Faith understands the divine order, that by the name of Jesus every knee bows (Philippians 2:9-11). And that name is a word packed with all authority (Matthew 28:18).”
    Understanding the scriptures
    “Understanding the scriptures goes beyond cramming the words, it is engaging with the Spirit of the word (John 6:63, 2Timothy 3:16), submitting to its influence, not being hearers alone but doers (James 1:21-22), not just learning but living the truth (2Timothy 3:7).”
    The sureness of scriptures 
    “God’s promises are yea and Amen (2Cor 1:20). They are sure. If your issue is not as difficult as being raised from the dead without human aid or intervention, then it’s covered. Therefore you can rest, assured of the sureness of scriptures.”
