Vote for Who? Quotes of Political Observations
()
About this ebook
As American citizens, one of our most important roles is to vote when voting is open. Through the use of graphical images the author presents thoughts on our political venue. The statements are fundmentally intended to give the reader thoughts on our government, voting and our elected leaders. With those statements there is no political bias, no political perspective presented, or intended. Instead, the intent is to promote citizens to place their vote on elected officials based upon knowledge and not emotions elicited by campaign rhetoric, advertisements and news reporting.
Arthur Brooks, Jr
Arthur Brooks is a father of four with twelve grandchildren. The author spent thirty-nine years and seven months as a university administrator before retiring in 2006. He was first introduced to computing in 1967, spending nearly all of his employment in computing, the last twenty-seven years as a director of administrative Information Technology. Arthur began writing his ‘home spun’ quotes in 1986 for his college age daughter, a collection of quotes that now exceeds 350. At the suggestion of his oldest granddaughter, in 2013 he began writing the stories he had told his grandchildren over the years. This effort prompted the author to be a STRONG promoter of not just TELLING our children of our experiences, but recording them for reading later. In addition, he has written about his deceased father as well as his own experiences in the computing arena. None of these have been published to date.
