About this ebook
The defeat at Agincourt in 1415 left deep wounds in the French psyche. Two runaway youths, Rogé and Clod, find themselves in the middle of the battle and experience the horrors of the disaster. They escape to spend their lives feeling the shame and guilt for the defeat. Yet, life must go on, and it takes them years to come to terms with the disgrace of being on the front line of history.
The story really begins when Rogé finds a crossbow after a skirmish and he and Clod join mercenaries who are in the service of the French. It comes to a battle near Agincourt, resulting in a ignoble defeat. Rogé and Clod flee, trying to find safety in the south, but always remembering the humiliation.

BIO: Nearing retirement, I now have more time to devote to writing (and if I don’t, I squeeze the day until there is a space/time to crawl into). Over the past 15 years, I have worked on 15 books, three of which (of the Dreamcast series) are self-published.My website, http://www.PaulTelegdi.ca gives a full account of my life and accomplishments, which I shall not repeat here. The thumbnail version: I was born in Hungary; when young immigrated to Canada with my family, attended University of Waterloo, Ontario, where I met my wife. Spent years in West Germany where my wife was studying music while I was learning German. Returning to Canada, we ended up on a farm in Ontario with pets. Long-time married, I boast of three sons with talent and personality.Presently I am office manager of my wife’s private practice of psychology. I like kayaking and windsurfing. I belong to a number of writers’ groups, and often choose writing over sleeping. eBooks are an exciting new chapter in my life and I’m looking forward to the wider exposure. My motto: Want a better life? Then write it!
