    Excerpt:

Laughing in glee at Morgan’s growl, he squealed when Morgan wrapped his powerful arms around his waist and drew him close. Jesse was aware of Morgan’s erection, pressing against the curve of his ass, demanding entry.

Devious mate, Morgan said, nipping at the side of his neck.

The dominant tiger teased him with lips and teeth, leaving kisses on his neck and throat. Sighing, Jesse closed his eyes, enjoying the sensation. He turned his head, so Morgan could slip his tongue down his throat again.

When Morgan pulled away, he let out a whine.

The dominant tiger only curled his hands around his shaft and began working him.

    Fuck me, baby, he pleaded.

Hmm, what was that? Morgan asked. The gorgeous bastard was a dick tease, alternating between fast and slow strokes, leaving him wanting.

Two could play at this game. Jesse thrust his ass and rubbed it against against Morgan’s dick.

Fuck, Morgan muttered. You’re making me lose control.

That’s the point, baby. He panted as Morgan flicked at his tip and gave it a squeeze.

    Chapter 1

The rude beep of his alarm clock jolted Morgan rudely awake. Cracking one bleary eye open, Morgan grabbed his cell phone underneath his pillow and squinted at the time.

Six in the morning—meaning he only managed two hours of sleep. Running a shelter kept him busy everyday seven times a week, but he deemed every second spent there worthwhile.

Morgan swiped the alarm shut. Stealing half an hour worth of extra sleep wouldn’t hurt, right?

That was until he saw the date underneath the time. His blood grew cold. Familiar grief weighed down his heart. From inside him, his tiger stared back at him with accusing  golden eyes. How could he forget?

Fully awake now, Morgan sat up and peeled the comforter away from his body. A different kind of chill settled on his skin. A glance at the framed photograph on his bedside table reminded him of the source.

In the photo, Gill smiled. Gill always did, in all the photos even though Morgan permanently wore sorrow on his face like a permanent mask during Gill’s last six months on earth.

His breath caught in his throat. Plucking the photograph, he stared at Gill.

    I’m sorry.

Saying those two words year after year never did make anything better.

Like Gill’s last year death anniversary, he sat the frame down and went back to his routine. First, a shower. Then he put on his best suit.

Before leaving the apartment, he glanced at his appearance using the small mirror by the front door. A haggard guy with shadows under his eyes stared back at him. He looked completely sapped out of life.

Morgan let loose a dry laugh. How appropriate. In some ways, he was a walking corpse. Running the Second Chances Shelter for lost Omegas was the only reason he remained living while Gill rotted in the earth.

Let’s get this over with, he said under his breath, finally leaving the apartment.

Along the way, he stopped by Lily’s Flower shop to pick up his usual dozen roses. The chirpy blonde greeted him once Morgan entered the
