    MAYDAY is based on the historical 1970 Kent State University shootings, and the subsequent rumors: In retaliation to the rock and bottle throwing, a few Ohio National Guard soldiers secretly plot to open fire on [the student protestors.] One member “draws the short straw” and must fire the first shot.

    After 40 years of guilt and anger, “he” begins killing the men he believes are responsible: The members of the protest groups, and the men that put him on campus in the first place. Mayday features a feisty FBI agent on the case who fears that her absent father is involved in the murders, and a disturbed villain who will stop at nothing to absolve himself of his tortured past.

    Christopher Carr

    Christopher Carr has been a creative director and advertising agency owner for many years. He has written and directed hundreds of TV and radio commercials for major brands. He is also an adjunct college professor and recently launched a new marketing company. Christopher has written multiple screenplays; Mayday, King of Clubs, and Blade Brothers, and his debut novel, Mayday, was written based on the existing screenplay. In 1970, he was an unsuspecting art student at Kent State University and stood a short distance from the Ohio National Guard soldiers as they opened fire. His book, MAYDAY, is about his experience.
