Summary Notes
Preface
In my career and personal life journey, there were many occasions that I had been involved in providing advices to others with respective to their life be it personal or professional. This triggers my thought after my decision to retire from my work to write a book on life as I believe it may bring value to people in work or in their personal life. Unfortunately, the lack of confidence in writing a book on my end resulting in procrastination in action.
Then I recalled what my teachers always told us that "there is a writer within everyone’s self". The ironic fact that not everyone will end up producing his or her own book in his or her entire life time despite the possession of good writing skill. Lack of confidence could be one of the major stumbling blocks. The fear of failure however can be the main culprit which at times takes precedence of the aspiration in commencing the writing journey, and this is quite typical nature of human being.
Not until I learnt from the webinar by Write Well Mindfest (website: http://www.learnigstrategiesfests.com) that triggered my courage to start the work I have been procrastinated for years.
Along the journey, it is usual behaviour for one’s sense of confidence to waver. Fortunately, I came across a TV program with famous China writer, Mr. Mo Yan, whose famous publication "Red Sorghum was produced into successful movie. He also won the Nobel Prize in literature in 2012 and praised by the Swedish Academy for merging
folk tales, history and the contemporary with
hallucinatory realism". He left school for a life working fields at the age of 12. With possessed knowledge of around 500 Chinese characters, he can be motivated and work himself to become who he is now. His advice to others who want to write their books to start with something related to their own life experience as an entry step.
A further inspiration is the news of a 97 years old grandma who is illiterate when she was young, but she managed to acquire knowledge of computer and internet to launch her 600-pages book about her own life. If the 97 years old grandma can do it, there is really no good reason for us not be able to do likewise, right?
Faith, passion and perseverance will be required for a writer to succeed in his writing journey. The same apply to life journey as well.
It is my wish is through this eBook to share with the readers of the necessary elements, through my own experience of and research, to be cultivated and strengthened for a successful life journey. It is hopeful that the content will be of usefulness to the readers.

About the Author
My name is David and I am living in the Singapore in the Asia Pacific region.
At the time of writing this eBook, I am in my semi-retirement life stage. I started as a young engineer working with a renowned company for more than 30 years before I decided to have my early retirement a couple of years ago. I grew from a young engineer to a senior management member prior to my early retirement.
I am married with 2 kids. My wife is a wonderful woman who takes very good care of the family and the kids. We lived in a terrace house with a small garden in a quiet district and wonderful neighbours.
My life is considered as a successful one, thanks to the wonderful advice and guidance I was fortunately able to receive from my father, my mentors in my work
