Cecil Stalks His Prey
Cecil stalked the darkened hallways and corridors of his mistress’s house, always on alert, always vigilant. His whiskers quivered, his tail twitched, his nostrils drew in the many and varied scents. The year was 1851, and he knew that because him mistress, with her scientific knowledge and experience, had enhanced him so that his knowledge and understanding was beyond that of a normal cat’s.
He also knew London’s Great Exhibition started in a scant few days, at which his mistress’s inventions (among a great number of other things) would be displayed, causing an air
